Carrying a bit of extra weight can cause multiple health problems for our pooches so getting them in shape can be really helpful to keep them healthy and happy. But with older dogs it can be tougher to get the weight off (and keep it off!), especially if they are less active than when they were younger or have some bad habits when it comes to snacking!

But don’t worry, there are lots of ways you can help your pensioner pup to lose the pounds. Reducing their calorie intake is a great first step, so as well as cutting out the treats, changing to a senior weight loss food can help. Here are some examples of ones that are available:
