Bacon, the staple for any brilliant British breakfast. So treat your pup to these tasty banana bacon bites, pawfect for a morning snack or rewarding any good pup. This recipe won't suit those dogs that need to be on low salt, low sugar or low fat diets, or those who have allergies to any of the ingredients.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 bananas (mashed)
- 2 rashers of grilled crispy bacon chopped
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 cup or 120g brown rice flour
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat your oven to 180℃ (160℃ for fan ovens)
2. In a bowl mash together the bananas until smooth.
3. Add bacon, cinnamon, honey and flour and mix well.
4. Add water or flour depending on the consistency of your mixture, but ideally the dough shouldn’t be too dry and crumbly, or too sticky.
5. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper, and spoon heaped teaspoon amounts of mixture onto this tray, 3cm apart
6. Bake at 180℃ (160℃ for fan ovens) for 10-15 minutes.
7. Leave to cool and then they’re ready to feed to your favourite pup.
